Let the summer begin!

Well today was sorta my last day of work for 9 weeks!! I am going tomorrow for lunch with Cindy to discuss a few things, but other than that I am a free woman! And all I have to say is let the packing begin. Tom offered to help me. I think he just wants me done faster so he can have my closet! ha ha ha, what a sneak.
My summer plans consist of nothing but packing and maybe a few day trips here and there with whoever is available. I am looking forward to Aug. 4th but I don't want to wish my summer away. However I will have a pool. And whoever is reading this is invited for a swim!!!! ha ha ha. Also I need to know who is game for painting? Nothing much needs to be painting, but if you love to paint, I have a paintbrush for you!
I must find a pic to post of our new house. However, when we move in, we will have a part-tay!!!!!!! with everyone!!! I gotta run and make this a short blog because I just realized I need to do something on the computer! I will keep you posted on my summer events and I will be able to write more often now that school is OUT FOR SUMMER!!!

Married Life

Well Phil and I are moving into our second month of wedded bliss (I think it's been 6 weeks ha ha ha). As I sit here after a long day at work, watching Bride Wars, the memories come flooding back. ha ha ha. My uncle came over yesterday and told my mom he has never seen a bride enjoy her day as much as I did. What can I say? It was totally everything and more I had ever imagined since I was 5 (minus the Dirty Dancing theme, that came later in life when I was 10, lol and Heather and I paused the moment were you could see Patrick Swayze's butt..woo hoo).
My routine has obviously changed since being married, but not tons. After work I still go to the gym. Instead of going home and chilaxing, I drive to Etobicoke, prepare dinner, cook dinner, eat while Phil is at gym, wait for him to come home and then give him his dinner. We sit in front of t.v. and chat about our days events if anything exciting happened, for me it's usually nothing. Then we watch t.v, I shower, then pretty much go to bed. Then the routine begins again the next day. I'll be so glad when I move to Burlington into our own house and not work for 2 months. the joys of being a teacher!!! All my hard work pays off in july and aug. Aug is going to be a busy month this summer, as if last summer wasn't busy enough. But at least this year it's going to be fun. Moving is fun, (i think?). I'm looking forward to packing up my room and everything I have at my parents. EVERYTHING from 30 years ago until now has to come to our new house!!!
Any friends who are around Aug 5-9th are more than welcome to come over and paint and swim!!!!!! I'll feed you! lol....

My friends!

This is dedicated to you girls who I love so much and are near and dear! I have the greatest friends a girl could ask for.
They don't judge, they take me for me (even smelly farts in elevators ha ha ha and cars ha ha ha). I know they too love me back with as much enthusiasm.
I love how we can just talk and talk and remember the good ol' days which I remember the most and do most of the "remember her, remember him, remember we did this and that". I don't know why or how i remember ALL these things, I just do!
Our wedding brought a lot of my friends closer (or close for those who weren't really friends in the first place) together which I am sooo happy for!
I treasure my girls nights with all my friends and look forward to them when ever they happen which just doesn't seem to be enough but in todays times of corporate lives, time is of the essence and important when getting together with my girls! I don't know if that makes sense. ha ha ha.
I treasure my serious talks with my friends and they help me out with all situations, past and present. Heather put it right when she says my past when she tells people about it that it sounds like a movie, Heather baby, at times I feel like i lived in a movie and it wasn't real life, wasn't my REAL life!
In closing, ha ha ha so formal, I thank you girls for being here for me and loving eachother! Can't wait to see you girls during the summer. Hugs and Kisses!

Honeymoon!

Well for our honeymoon we had to go to Barbados (only thing left after Swine Flu forced Air Canada Vacations to cancel our trip) It was AMAZING!!! Everything was great, no complaints. We tried food we've never tried before, like different kinds of fish. We sure got our share of fish (which is a good thing cause it's super healthy for you). Anyways, basically all we did was eat, sleep and sleep in the sun all day long!!
On our second day there we had an orientation with Air Canada Vacations telling us the extras we could do on the island. The rep asked Phil and I if we could stay back for a couple mins. We were "uh sure". Then she ended up giving us 200 US dollars each on a VISA to spend any way we wanted. So later that week we went to the capital of Barbados, called Bridgetown and went shopping crazy. Do you know how hard it is to spend 400 US dollars that isn't yours? VERY! ha ha ha. So pretty much our honeymoon was one of the most relaxing weeks of our lives.
Stay tuned, I have lots to write about and we've only been married three weeks! ha ha ha.

A very Special Moment

There is one thing from our Wedding that needs to be mentioned separatly. When I walked in to view the room before the guests arrived, I looked around the room and turned around to get a view of everything and there staring at us to the side of us was the most amazing cake I had ever seen in my life. And the cake topper was Ariel and Eric (my princess obsesstion) in their wedding attire!!!!! The children in my class made me the cake with their love! I can not believe it! It brought tears to Phil and I's eyes. It was the most special and amazing gift on our lives! I will post a picture when I get one.

Married Life begins

I finally have time to sit down and rehash the wedding day! And all i can say was "I had the time of my Life". Literally and I'm not just saying that because that was the theme of the evening, which I might add a lot of people came up to me and commented on how awesome that idea was. toot toot my horn. ha ha ha.
So the ceremony wasn't what I expected or liked. Our original priest backed out three months before our day and got his friend to replace him who is a deacon. I personally don't think the Deacon knew what he was doing. Anyways, I was completely calm cool and collected. Dad and I talked all the way down the aisle. Then even Phil and I were shootin' the shit at the alter. ha ha ha. Thanks Jack for doing that amazing reading. You rocked it! Then after the mass (which was very short) Phil and I headed outside to greet our guests. Our guests included 25 little kids from my class (and a few from the other class). They all ran up to me and hugged the daylights out of me. I have a pic from the photographer (well he has it but i saw it) of the girls around me and I'm like Cinderella and they are my mice. So cute. Everyone commented on the love they have for me and the love I have for them. It was a great idea for them to come!!! so after a couple pictures of the family and group, we headed to spencer smith park for more pictures. They turned our beautiful. My photographer displayed them at the reception on his laptop, great touch Aaron! I must give a huge shout out to my photographer and his wife. They ROCKED! I totally will be giving family and friends his name and number when they get married. I recommened him highly.
So from there we went to the reception. I didn't know we started the recieving line at 5 (the cocktail hour) and the guests go in the room to have the cocktails. So during the recieving line, I look over and there are two guests who were invited who didn't RSVP at all. But guess what, it was no problem at all with the Burlington Convention Centre. They didn't panic, they accomodated. Again, I will highly recommend the BCC to anyone getting married in Burlington. They did everything. All I had to do was show up friday and give them my stuff and they took it from there. That is why I was so relaxed the day before and the day of. I knew I was in very good hands.
So the recieving line ended and the announcing began. PHil and I did our first dance, which I belted out singing to "She's Like the Wind". Then we listened to all my favourite top 40 boyband songs throughout dinner. woo hoo!!! I sang and ate the whole dinner. If I could have danced trust me i would have. After dinner my dad and I danced to "Changes" by Kelly and Ozzy Osbourne, again I sang through the whole song. Again a lot of people came up to me and said "great song". Thank you!! For those who know me (Jack) knows I have to be different and unique in the things I do, I have always had different hair cuts, or different everything to stay out of the norm. So for me to choose a song like that and one no one really knows, is soooo me. And I love love love Jack's blog about our wedding. Thanks hunny, I love you!
So then I danced, drank, danced and drank. I danced to every single song and only left the dance floor to take a shot of Vodka. I really really really had a great time! I want to do it again. Not because I would change a damn thing, but so i can keep dancing to the great music!! Again, I will be recommending my DJ to everyone in this world. He rocked!!!! It's a shame (phil brought to my attention), that you talk and meet these people for a whole year, you get to know them and then the day comes, then you never talk to them again. I will truely miss our vendors! The Burlington Convention Centre did an amazing job!! i will miss the coordinators extremely!
Well I have to write about the honeymoon tomorrow or another day because we are heading out to find my mom a birthday gift! Again, to all those who came and were involved, thank you so much for coming and being a part of our special day. It is truely one I am going to remember for the rest of my life and I love hearing about the day from other people's point of view!!! and the things I missed because I was on the dance floor!! Love you guys!
