New Obsession

Ok so my tip for the day? Only eat foods that come from the ground or have a mother. Source, Jillian Michaels. Ok, it's not secret by now that I have a new obession and love Jillian Michaels. Come on, what's not to love? She is on the Drs. every week and she is so helpful!! That is where I learned that great advice! Another thing I noticed. Look at my pictures. Do you see how I have lines/cheek marks when i smile? guess what? Jillian has the same thing. ha ha ha. Call me crazy and I won't care!! But those lines or whatever it is when i smile drive me nuts and I wish i could get rid of them but my mom says that I will always have them and there is nothing i can do. Well now that I know Jill has them too, which i still think are weird, I feel a teeny bit better to know I'm not the only one with those lines.
Onto something more interesting. I went to the Jays game yesterday with the kids in my class. It was summer camp day and my school runs a summer camp so I thought it would be fun to go with them. I learned I have a bunch of unenthusiastic children. Cindy and I were the only ones cheering like crazy. My throat hurts. It was like pulling teeth to get them to even yell "Go Jays Go". Then after the game they got to run the bases. Cute. THEN we sat and had snack outside the CN tower. Tourists were coming up and video taping and taking pictures of us RIGHT IN OUR FACES. We were like "um no you can't take their pics" One man even pushed one of the teachers out of the way. Honestly it was like they had never seen children before where they come from! I told the summer camp leader she should have said to the guy that was an inch away from her face looking at the words "Go Jays" that In Canada we have a thing called Personal Space and right now you ARE IN IT!!!! Man it was annoying. All in all it was a fun day!

Two More Weeks!

Well Phil and I have been super busy picking out furniture, packing and picking out colours! We visited our new house today and Phil said when my dad got into the car to leave our house he says to Phil, "I have a good feeling about this house". ha ha ha how cute. I love my dad. Sometimes he says the most funniest things without even trying to be funny. Like last Sunday we were having dinner and after we cleaned up he did something stupid and mom gave him the evil eyes and he says to her because she must have said something about, "what do you say?" and he goes, "love is having never to say you are sorry" and we were "where the hell did you hear that" and he was "church" and we were "when did you go to church?" he goes, "if you must know it was in Jackie's reading at the wedding, and I must have been the only one to pay attention" This coming from a man who can't remember what he had for breakfast this morning. He's a nut. I will stick up for him no matter what! Always have. When mom is mad at me, she's mad at my dad and vise versa. That's just the way it's always been. Apparently we are a package deal. ha ha ha. I do remind her of my dad a lot of the time!
Anyways, that was a side not cause I've been dying to tell that story.
So today we went to Stoney Creek Furniture with my parents. We found this amazing bedroom set that we both love (rare that we both love it, yes). So dad had a great idea. One weekend soon we are going to Meninite country and see how much they can make us our bedroom set for. According to dad, they can copy it which would be great, but only if it's cheaper. Phil is very very into this decorating thing. We pick out everything together. Tomorrow my mom and I and aunt are going to Hamilton to pick out fabric for a wing chair. Phil has to work but he trusts us and our judgement. ha ha ha. He is my metro husband.
Well better get back to my favourite thing, packing!

Biggest Loser (I'm talking about the t.v. show people)

Well, I have decided to do my very own Biggest Loser. I have a 30 day workout schedule designed by yours truly, Jillian Michaels. And I'm not talking about her dvd. I've had her book for a while now and I decided the summer is a perfect time to do her workout.
So yesterday was my very first day. All I could hear was Jillian yelling at me to keep going. Honestly, I heard her in the back of my head. And boy, I'm paying for it today. I can barely walk and sit, my legs and abs are killing me. But I had to go today.
I start off by jogging/walking to the gym. Do her 45 min circuit workout then walk home. It takes 2 hours in total. Today was a killer since I am already hurting from yesterday. Wednesdays and the weekends are my days off. And let me tell you, I am looking forward to tomorrow. ha ha ha.
I am also trying to eat every 3-4 hours like you are supposed to. So far I had breakfast at 7 and I just had (10am) a nectarine and yogurt, not bad, eh Jack? So we'll see how this all goes down and I'll tell you this, if nothing happens I'm going to be pissed!!!
If any of you would like to join my Biggest Loser, just let me know! I can write out the routine for you!!!!! New recruits are welcome!

Shopping Grove City! Now back to reality!

Well, we got back from Grove City PA two days later and 400 dollars poorer! Wow, I have never been there and will DEFINATELY go back again.
We stayed in Erie (an hour away from Grove City). So when we got to our hotel, we just chilled, ate dinner and then crashed. We woke up the next morning, had breakfast and headed towards our shopping destination.
Kim and I went together while the boys shopped together and did their thing. When we met up with the boys, Phil was empty handed. Background info, it was Phil's idea to go because he is desparate need of jeans and pants. So he was real frustrated. So we split up again, Kim and I kept finding little deals in Gap, Guess, American Eagle, the usual girl stores.
It was time to meet up with the boys. Phil had some bags in tow!!! We were so excited for him! We went into Coach while the boys went into the underware store. We lost them and had no idea where the hell they were. Only to find Tom and Phil rushing towards us and indicating for us to hurry! Banana Republic had the greatest sale of everyone!
Phil and Tom went nuts in that store with dress shirts. I bought TWO shirts for three bucks each. That's right, 3 $ each. Wow! Tom bought lots of shirts for school for dirt cheap. Banana Republic pulled through and made the whole trip worth while! We should have gone to that store first. We actually forgot about that store and thank goodness we lost the boys! Well worth it!
The next day (saturday) we just walked the mall in Erie and headed home, that is after the major ass thunderstorm we had there! I was so nervous about the ride home and hydroplaining. ha ha ha. I know i'm weird!
So now we are home and back to packing! Phil hasn't touched anything! Well he's in for a rude awakening when it's Aug 1st and we move in 3 days! And then I will have to tell him " I told you so" again! ha ha ha. Just like in the hotel room this weekend. We went to the liquor store and they wanted a big bottle of wine. I told them to just get the small bottle, but oh no Jess doesn't know what she's talking about, the bigger one is only 12 dollars and they will drink it over the next two nights. Well Saturday morning arrived and it was time for us to go and they ended up putting the whole thing minus 2 glasses down the drain!!! If they would have listened to me and bought the smaller bottle, they wouldn't have spent 12 dollars to just go down the drain. Oh the life i have to live! My everyday frustrations! Anywho, back to packing! I will be packing this week so I will be ready to move!!! I will keep you posted on how that goes!

Packing

Ok, so the packing officially began the other day! Thank goodness my dad wasn't working and helped me. I passed my room to him and he packed it up! I kept asking my parents, "so you sad yet?" only to get a "ha ha ha NO!! keep the stuff coming". Gee thanks guys. This is coming from a man who when I left to move out with Heather three years ago, was "no you aren't moving, I don't care if you are 27 years old, you aren't moving out of here". ha ha ha. He may be singing a different tune when Aug 4th actually gets here. I actually had mixed feelings. I can't wait to move into my new house and the next month coudn't go by any faster for us! Everyone I know keeps driving by. I'm like "hey guys, is it still there?" ha ha ha. I don't know if they expect it to be gone one day or what. But it's cute how my parents and aunts and uncles are excited about our new house! Dad and I were out the other day together (spending quality time together) and he was "we are going to drive by your house". ha ha ha ok. We should ask if we can start moving in our stuff....I know I know.
So we have less than a month to go and still only half my room is packed. PLUS i still have to pack up my stuff in the basement. Phil is in total decorating mode at the moment, looking for family room furniture/accents. ha ha ha. He's so funny! Perhaps he should start packing? Ya my thoughts exactly! He's got more than 30 years of shit to pack, but he doesn't realize it! grrrrrrr...lol...well I gotta jet and get ready for our little shopping trip this weekend in the states! Let you know how that goes!!! Tom and Phil are looking for Casinos near by. urgh.

Oh that brother of mine!

Ok, so the only guy I know to say to Phil and I, "lets go to Flamborough Casino" and then When we get there says "Can I borrow some money" That's my brother, Tom. So like a good sister that I have been to him, his whole life, I give him 50 bucks. So we walk in the casino, I get carded and they didn't think I was 30 almost 31. I go off my own way to play Deal or No Deal which has been replaced with Life (but they are still 5 cent machines, phew). I sit down and loose 40 bucks. I go check on Tom and Phil, they are down 200. So Tom goes to the washroom. Phil and I play this quarter machine to try and win our 200 back. When we get to 50 bucks, I cash out and go back to my Life game for 5 cents. Phil, "you will never win back your money of 5 cent machines". We sit there taking turns. We play and play and then all of a sudden, I hit the bonus game. I won the freakin JACKPOT! I won our money (200 bucks) back and then some. So now we have 274.00. We take 250 cause that's what we all together started with and Tom goes plays the remaining 25 bucks. He sits down at a machine and Phil and I are rehashing the whole "you will never win our money back" conversation cause we are excited I hit the jackpot. Tom is at this point three spins into playing our 25 dollars. and BAM, TOM HIT THE FREAKIN JACKPOT!!!!! We won 757 dollars!!!!! You'd think people would walk away and go home. Have you met Phil? that's right, we went and played like 20 bucks in another machine. We chose the dollar machine now. Big spenders. Two pulls, and we hit the "free spin" on wheel of Fortune. We win another 125 bucks. So we think we are on a roll so for kicks we throw 30 bucks into a 2 dollar machine, that's right 2 dollars. At this point I'm freaking out cause how dare they waste our winnings. We ended up winning 120 bucks on that machine. So finally we decided to give up and go home. So all in all, we walked out with almost a grand. Now here's the most funny part of this whole story. Remember I said tom borrowed 50 from me? Well we split the winnings in half. Half for Phil and I and the other half we gave to Tom. So Tom goes into a casino with NO MONEY and walks out with just shy of 500 bucks. ha ha ha. We howled about that all the way home! Needless to say, Phil and I had to pay our photographer tonight for our last installment which was free because the casino paid for it and Tom is using his half to pay for hotel and gas for our thursday-saturday road trip to the states!!! Tom is the only guy we know who walks into a freaking casino with not a penny and walks out 500 dollars richer!!!! oh god it is funny!!!!

Summer Vaca day 2

So far this week has been pretty good! On monday I babysat Annie's daughter Sofia. She came to my school and hung out there with me. She is 10.5 months and I helped her do her first painting at school. So cute. She is the cutiest baby (besides Aidan, Taylor, Dante, etc) ha ha ha. Yesterday Phil and I went to his brother's house for bbq. A good time was had by all. All we did was eat! Today I babysat Sofia again. There is nothing like looking after a baby who will just sit on your lap and watch the world go by. We watched Price is Right and she wanted to have snuggle time. I love it when she lays her head down on my chest and just chills. I actually checked to make sure she was breathing a few times, that's how relaxed she was. ha ha ha. When we hung outside, she just sat on my lap and did nothing. We talked and laughed and she was so good. I brought her inside because I thought she may want to watch something on the t.v. but she cried and stopped once she got outside. It's so funny, these kids. So that is my vacation so far. This weekend should be good. Cousin Phil's birthday party is saturday (Can't wait to read about your Niagara FAlls trip, Christine). And sunday we will just chill at my house (when i say my house, I mean my mommy and daddy's). I really have to start packing. I don't realize how much stuff I have until I actually sit down to pack it. I have 30 freakin years to pack up cause my dad says EVERYTHING has to come with me! Even my Little Mermaid stuff. ha ha ha, which is fine with me cause my kids are going to have a Little Mermaid bathroom, looks like phil and I will have the dragonfly bathroom that Jackie and her family bought us for our wedding *(which i love so much...lol).
Jackie, please keep entertaining me with funny stories from Thailand!!! Can't wait to see you. And of course you are invited to our PART-TAY!!!!!!! We are literally down the street from eachother, how cool is that?
K, I gotta run and finish my book. I am currently reading "The Choice" by Nicholas Sparks. Great so far!! Heather, if this book becomes a movie, we have to go see it. Just like we went to see Road to Rodanthe!
