All Settled In

Well, it's been a few weeks now and Phil and I have done so much to our new home. You wouldn't believe how different it looks from when we first turned the keys. We have painted two rooms and the hallway and I'm not bias but I think it looks amazing!!
We've had many visitors pass through our doors. The little vistors are the best!! (No offense adults)
The other day Annie and Sofia came for lunch and a swim. Now as you all have probably guessed, I love that little girl like she was my own. I see her once a week (since she was born a year ago, Happy Birthday baby girl). I was thinking about her the other day. I think the reason I am so close with her is i saw her while she was in the hospital and continue to see her once a week. When she was here, I fed her chicken for the first time. Annie was having a heart attack and was scared she was going to choke. But she did great. After she took it from my hand she'd give us a little giggle and it was a "look at me i'm eating your food" giggle. She was so proud of herself. It was so cute. It's moments like that that make me melt. I'm also very close with Aidan (Alicia's oldest) and it's due to me seeing him once a week as well. I am so excited to be looking after Sofia every wednesday after school, I can't wait!! Anyways, I just felt like writing about Sofia cause she is just so damn cute.
I l ove all my little kiddies all for different reasons. The other day Daniella, Phil's god daughter (and her parents and Dante) was over and oh man, she was too funny. She followed me and tom around. I can't believe she is almost 5. I think back to when I met her, she was only like 20 months or so and now she's starting kindergarten.
Aidan and Taylor are Alicia's babies. Taylor is GORGEOUS and is going to totally break a lot of hearts. Aidan is so funny. He called me the other day to ask if he could come over. Then when he got here, he climbed up the stairs like a baby and turned to Sofia and said, "like that Sophie" ha ha ha it was so cute.
I don't really see tina's babies anymore. But she has Abraham and Emmanuel (I think that's how you spell it)
Anyways, enough about babies. Next blog will be more entertaining. I start school/work in a couple of weeks, and am actually looking forward to it. I'll get there and then start count the days down till Christmas break, ha ha ha. Bill already said, "soon it's christmas break". ha ha ha.
Well my fingers are tired of typing. Good night you all. ha ha ha, i will not say ya'll.

Married Life can Officially begin

Officially tomorrow at around 3pm, our married lives will begin! I know we have been married since May 9th, however we haven't been living so to speak as a married couple with our own house. I have been living in a house that isn't mine nor Phil's and to me it was very stressful. Only for the fact that I couldn't decorate, i couldn't change anything since we weren't living in our own place. So look out!! Tomorrow a whole new part of our lives begins! To start our day we are going to St Jacobs to talk to the mennonite people about our furniture. Picture this, we go to the furniture store (not the Mennonites place, but a box store) and dad brings his trusty tape measure and Phil takes control of the camera. Dad sits down on the ottoman for sale and starts making diagrams and drafts a duplicate of our bedroom set full with measurements of every nook and cranny! Mom and I took off and looked around the store, we were scared of getting caught. So about after an hour, we took our scetch book and headed off to Kim's (Tom's gf) birthday party. Needless to say no one in the store said anything to them, or so those two claim. At one point mom and I say a salesperson walk away with their papers. Phil said he was going to check the price of the wardrobe ha ha ha. I was, "ya right you got it confinscated" But he brought it back.
A little word of advice, if you are looking for any furniture and want it quality made for a very low price, I really recommend going to St Jacobs and having the real professionals (Mennonites) do it! They actually take pride over what they produce. And turns out, at the big box store we were at, the furniture wasn't even made of real wood, it was made from cherry veneres. So fake wood. And yet they charged 6500 plus tax for three pieces of furniture. Our furniture is real Oak and half the price for three pieces!
