K, so I wrote too soon. I totally jinxed myself by writing everything was going smoothly. Right after Iwrote that, the priest called the next day and told me, get this, that the bishop called him and he now has something to do the day of MY WEDDING!!!! What is with that? I was speechless on the phone. He went on to tell me he called in a friend of his down the street to do the wedding. He's a deacon though, not a priest. For those that have never heard of a deacon, they are priests that are allowed to be married and have sex. Ya it's all fine and dandy that someone is going to marry us, but it's so sad that we have gotten to know the priest and was looking forward to having him marry us.
Anyways, on a happy note, I finalized our centre pieces with the flower nursery. I also bought gorgeous red vases for the girl's bouqets. They are authentic red vases, not painted glass.
Also today (Valentine's Day) Phil and I purchased our wedding bands. whoot whoot!!!!!!!!!
The day is coming up too fast. ha ha ha. Some of you may not know this but I am a huge Daddy's girl and am currently having a hard time with the fact that I will be leaving my daddy in only 2 months and 3 weeks. It's going to be just as hard on my parents as it is on me! ha ha ha.
I will keep you posted on the wedding and house plans!!

Thanks for the explanation of the deacon... totally necessary... ha ha ha. That's too bad about the priest, but it's excellent that he found someone else for you and didn't just totally bail! But then again he's a priest, so I guess it's normal to help and stuff... anyhoo. Do you have to take new classes with the new guy?
ReplyDeleteSo are you telling me that your bridesmaids are going to be walking down the aisle holding red glass jars of flowers? Interesting development.
ha ha ha no the girls flowers will be in the vase at the reception at the head table! Silly goose.
ReplyDeleteNo we don't have to do the classes again, thank goodness. That was my first question to him.
